Brainstorming and Ideation

In my room, I have a small, 2-layer shelf that holds my ever-growing collection of Unicorno Blind Box Collectables. Not only am I running out of room on this shelf, but I am also craving a more unique and individualistic way of showcasing these little decorative ponies.

That’s when I stumbled upon these creations:

I had originally considered a horse/unicorn-shaped CNC cut shelf, but doing so would limit the amount of space I would have and would direct focus from the figurines to the shelf itself. I was intrigued by this circular design as it offered the opportunity to separate the figures while still keeping a similar theme throughout — if that makes sense.

In making this fit my own needs and carry some of my own touches, I would adjust the pieces to have little indents where the feet of my figurines could go — this would offer stability.

My second idea would be to create a small switch stand, allowing for the bottom port to be used while in use and holding the display up at a sturdier angle than its built-in kickstand.

I’d want to use keep things as simple as possible, opting for a simple triangular shape with push-in pieces to elevate the display screen like the above examples. By keeping a simple triangular design, it’d make propping this piece against the wall quite easy.

For my third idea, I was considering continuing my occurring trend of light pieces.

Possible choices:

J: _Jippi is my online username. It’s a pronunciation of the initials I used when I was in elementary — GPY.
One day, my aunt pointed out to me that my initials would only be GP, because the “yang” in my last night is connected to the “passus” with a hyphen. For years, I was unwilling to let it go, and while I’ve finally begun using GP, GPY will always stay with me as Jippi.

G: My name’s Grace. It’s be as simple as relacing the letter and name to the J & Jennifer on the left.

X: Xilenia, nowadays shortened to Xil, is my Gamertag. I use the name in every videogame I play. An old friend of mine unscrambled a series of letters (I believe it was LXNA) and came up with the name, and I’ve been in love with it since.
